Having received this afternoon the news of the sudden death of Top Gun director Tony Scott, my heart goes to his family, those who worked with him, and his fans and supporters on these dark times.
May he rest in eternal peace.

It's all part of being a true sci-fi fan
Following stars on Twitter, liking them on Facebook and even waiting for Sci-fi films on cinema and television and Sci-fi television series. It's all part of becoming an active fan of science fiction. Ever since last April I became a Star Trek fan, I'm now following every sci-fi TV series and movies. (BTW due to this I gave up participating in the Star Trek Simulation Forum last July 27.) I'm truly now a sci-fi geek and nerd... just like Wil Wheaton and Nathan Fillon, whose program , Castle, that I'm now watching now on cable.
Active science fiction is one of the reasons for my support of space exploration, for it is what inspires so many of us to explore the wide frontier of the universe.... ever since the first space satellite flight 55 years past.
May the legacy of those who led the way will be remembered forever.
