April 12 marks the 51st anniversary of man's first journey into space... the legendary first manned space flight.
That day in 1961, Maj. (then First Lieutenant) Yuri Gagarin, Soviet Air Force, aboard the space capsule Vostok 1, was launched into space from a Vostok 8K rocket from a launch pad in modern day Baikonur, Kazakhstan, thus starting the Space Age that we are today. This day is the very day that man at long last reach where he has never dared to be before: on the wide expanse of outer space.
On this day this year, the world honors the memory of the first man to step into the universe. It's a day that we will always remember. Yuri might be gone, but the memory of his first steps into space will be always remembered.
Like Yuri Gagarin who led the way for us to be in the outer reaches of the universe, let us shout...
POYEKHALI!!! LET'S RIDE!!!!
